Single universal allowance, payments and amounts confirmed for October 2025, here is the payment schedule

INPS has confirmed the payment dates and revised amounts of the single universal allowance for October 2025. Approximately six million Italian families with dependent children will be eligible for this monthly support, the amount of which varies based on the family's economic situation , as determined by the Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator (ISEE). The single allowance continues to represent a strategic aid for families in addressing the cost of living and daily expenses.

As usual, the first installment of the benefit is paid in the last week of the month following application submission. For the month of October, the amounts for applications already in progress will be credited between October 20th and 21st , unchanged from previous months. New applications submitted in September or amounts subject to adjustment will be paid in the last week of October, allowing the institute to manage personal data updates and ISEE changes without delaying regular payments.

Recipients can check the status of their single allowance by accessing their INPS profile using any valid digital identity, such as their Electronic Identity Card (CIE), SPID, or National Services Card (CNS). The amount due varies based on the ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator), the number of children, their ages, and any disabilities. This variable amount is supplemented by a surcharge that increases the overall amount of support.

For minor children, the single allowance can reach up to €201 per month for those with an ISEE of up to €17,227.33, while the minimum is €57.50 for those without an ISEE or with an ISEE of more than €45,939.56. Increases are available for families with multiple children, for parents with children under one year of age, and for those with three or more dependent children, with increases of up to 50% or €150 per month for large families.

Inflation adjustment

Effective January 1, 2025, the amounts and ISEE thresholds for the single allowance have been adjusted to offset inflation, which will rise by 0.8% in 2024. This measure aims to protect families' purchasing power and ensure proportionate support for the expenses necessary for raising children.

It is not necessary to submit a new application if the previous one is valid and has not expired, been revoked, or been rejected. However, it is essential to have an updated ISEE: those who submitted their ISEE by June 30, 2025, will also receive arrears starting in March, while those who have not updated their ISEE will continue to receive the minimum amount until they submit their new DSU.

The outlook for 2026

Starting in 2026, the single allowance amount will be revalued based on inflation, with modest increases for each ISEE bracket. The increases for January 2026 will be paid with the March 2026 payment , allowing families to benefit from amounts adjusted to the cost of living.

The INPS calendar provides the following payment windows: October 20-21, November 20-21, and December 17-19 . The amounts paid also include any credit or debit adjustments, thus ensuring continuity and accuracy in payments. In this way, the single allowance continues to provide stable and predictable support for Italian families , making a tangible contribution to reducing the burden of daily expenses.
